Beginning and Rise
Rishi Kapoor’s first screen memory is as a toddler during the making of Shree 420 (1955), in the song “Pyaar Hua Iqraar Hua”, a brief but symbolic beginning of entry to cinema.
A bit later, however, he played the teenage version of his father in Mera Naam Joker (1970), in a case of cinematic inheritance, winning a National Film Award for Best Child Artist.
